How to find work

There is also the possibility to work alongside your studies. You can always look at the blackboards in the Mensa and the atrium as well as at the different institutes for student jobs. Additionally, you may ask professors directly, if they have projects in their Labs in which you can participate.

You can also look online at the "Stellenbörse" of the TH Lübeck and the University Lübeck.

For jobs outside the Campus, most employers will expect you do speak at least basic German.

It is also worth checking the local newspaper (Lübecker Nachrichten) once in a while. They always have some adverts where companies are looking for working students.

According to a rough guideline, students are allowed to work 120 full days or 240 half days a year. For details or if you need to work more than the allotted amount of days, you may check with the local "Ausländerbehörde" or look at the information of the Studentenwerk. Jobs related to your studies can be done without limitation.
